I would lose weight then stop dieting only to gain it back plus some. My highest weight ever was 245lbs during my ealy 30s. My lowest weight was 148lbs Christmas 2011. How did I get to 148lbs? Phentermime and starvation again I lost 65lbs and my hair fell out (in a 4 month period ) From 2012 to 2014 I gained and lost the same weight.I would diet for a few weeks then stop and regain again. So finally on December 3rd 2014 at 194.6lbs I decided to start my #instagram account for accountability. I would post my food weight and exercise. I wasn’t sure on what plan to follow #lowcarb or #cleaneating (I knew that I would give up sugar or bad carbs for sure ) So I did a combination lowcarb and clean. i got back on track on may 16; I re-committed myself to keto/LCHF whole foods only cut out diet soda & alcohol have been ensuring that 90% of my meals are home cooked and have tracked my food (it works for me). i also began a love affair with exercising including long walks at night for mental health tabata intervals on an upright bike and lifting weights at home. it has been working for me and it’s been paying off in many many ways (both internal & external.) but then on thursday i got sick. no exercise no keto just lots of tea chicken noodle soup and cough syrup. today was the first day i started to feel better so i said i was going to meal prep but by 8pm that hadn’t happened. i said to myself “i’ll just go grab a salad tomorrow for lunch” which is a viable option but something came over me and i decided to whip this up. turmeric spiced cauli rice Natasha Fischer palak paneer and curry spiced chicken thighs. took less than 30 minutes is delicious and meets my goals. Hump day blues? Would a protein bar review help? Here’s one anyway: BSN syntha 6 Edge chocolate peanut butter flavour bar. Appearance: Theres a pretty hefty feel to these bars for 66g. They have a fairly thick chocolate coating on a dense fudgy centre which is topped with real full sized peanuts. (It’s actually nice to see real full sized peanuts in a bar for a change) Texture: Very dense and fudgy quite a bit of chewing need on this one but the sizeable peanuts do add a nice crunch. Taste: Not bad. The chocolate coating is spot on it cracks on biting and melts away. There loads of peanut flavour thanks to the full sized peanuts throughout. While this one does suffer from the same odd aftertaste as the vanilla fudge flavour it’s a bit less notable. Macros Calories:230 Fat:8.4 Carbs:21 (fibre 6.8) Sugar:3.8 Protein:20 The macro split is pretty good and the are very dense and satisfying for 230 kcal.
